After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24 Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. Gen. 5:22
This is how I want to begin the New Year....walking with God! Not worrying about the weather, not wondering about the future, not caught up in all the controversy or activities that surround us, but walking with God. Spending time with him in solitude. Spending time with him in the midst of all that is going on around me. I want to be like Enoch, walking faithfully with God until I am no more. Can I do it? Can I be faithful? I don't know, but perhaps my desire to know God will overwhelm my desire for all earthly things if I just put one foot in front of the other and walk.
