Ecclesiastes 5-7: Don't Do It

Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.
Do not be quick with your mouth,
do not be hasty in your heart
to utter anything before God.
God is in heaven and you are on earth,
so let your words be few. - Eccl.5:1-2 NIV

In this meaningless life of mine I have seen both of these:
a righteous man perishing in his righteousness,
and a wicked man living long in his wickedness.
Do not be overrighteous,
neither be overwise—
why destroy yourself?
Do not be overwicked,
and do not be a fool—
why die before your time?
It is good to grasp the one and not let go of the other.
The man who fears God will avoid all extremes. - Eccl. 7:16-18 NIV

Most of us have a tendency to become over zealous or over religious...thinking we alone know and can proclaim the truth.  We can't do it.  We're not that righteous or wise.  Most of the time, any words we utter, would be to keep people on a much narrower path than we would walk ourselves.  Don't do it.
