Psalms 120-126" Whereof We are Glad

When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. - Ps. 126 NIV

We're all captive at some point in our lives, bound up by forces, external and internal, that we seem to have very little power over.  It is true.  We have very little power.  It is only the Lord that can do such a miraculous thing as releasing the captives from their prisons.  Only the Lord can cause streams to grow in the desert.  Only the Lord can alter the most binding circumstance into one of freedom.  Only he can take our tears and turn them into rejoicing.  In times past, now and for all time to come, the Lord has done great things for us; whereof we are glad.  It is good to begin the morning with that song on our lips.
