Psalms 90-93: In the Shelter of the Most High

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
   will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
   my God, in whom I trust.”
 Surely he will save you
   from the fowler’s snare
   and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
   and under his wings you will find refuge;
   his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Ps. 91:1-4 NIV

God must laugh at his creation quite frequently, especially those that would call themselves by his name.  We say he is our refuge, yet we spend an inordinate amount of time trying to do his job.   There is always something looming on the horizon that is going to destroy our way of life.   Ten years ago, people were storing things up for the Y2K disaster and now there is increased agitation over the financial state of this country and the dollar in particular.  Where are we going to go?  There is no refuge here.  None.  Whatever we count on will only be a temporary solution.  That doesn't mean we should not be prudent and live as if there will be no tomorrow.  But we should rest from our concerns.  After all we are dwelling in the shelter of the Most High
